So, how much are these beautiful, custom-crafted window coverings going to cost me?
GREAT question!
Thinking ahead about what you and your family wish to invest in this project is very important, because when you have an idea of what you’d like to spend, I can design for you the BEST possible treatments for your space with the BEST materials possible – and keep it within your target price range.
You will get the most for your money that way.
No, custom window coverings are never “cheap,” nor should they be. But when we work together, they will be the BEST VALUE when you evaluate the level of service, quality of products, and design experience you will receive.
So, what WILL they cost??
To give you an idea, here are three scenarios for the same window, each a great value for specific needs. Remember, this is CUSTOM. No one else will have anything just like it.
Your final design and fabric selection will be one-of-a-kind, crafted for your home and family’s needs for beauty, function and security. Within each of these Plans below, you could still find a range of prices depending on your fabric, trim and hardware choices.
Let’s look at a typical double window, say for a dining room – about 72 inches wide and 60 inches high. You could expect to spend the following approximate amounts for these products, custom made and professionally installed:
Please note also that the diagrams used below are a kind of quick computer sketch, drawn to exact scale. If you like, we can create designs together on my laptop during your in-home appointment! It helps us both visualize the final result so that you’re completely comfortable with the plans for your custom project before a single dollar is spent.
PLAN A: $250-325
For privacy and light control with a traditional look, 2” faux wood blinds with a matching finished valance that has the look of a wood cornice.

PLAN B: $800-950
Add an upholstered, shaped cornice with the top and bottom edges detailed with fabric welting in a contrasting color to dress up the same 2” wood-like blinds from Plan A. This price range is for the blind and the cornice together.

PLAN C: $1650-1900
Faux-Finished 2” Rods with Great Finials and Rings, Stationary Drapery Panels in Silk, Interlined for Body and Trimmed with Tassel Fringe. Striped roman shades underneath, instead of blinds, for light control, softness and elegance.
